Lip blush tattoo implants pigment into the lip membrane which gives the appearance of a lip tint affect once healed.
This is a great option for enhancing your lip shape/symmetry, if you have had filler & your vermillion border has become less visible, lips with minimal/lost pigment + anyone wanting to enhance their natural lips by adding definition without the daily hassle!
👄 For the best outcome ensure you drink 2 litres of water each day for 2 weeks prior to your appointment!
👄 Keep lips thoroughly moisturised for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment with professional lip care!
👄 Gently exfoliate your lips for 2 weeks prior, you can use a toothbrush or sugar scrub to buff any dry skin!
👄 Take a prescribed anti viral medication 4 days prior & post appointment to prevent any cold sore outbreaks (even if you haven't suffered an outbreak before).

Who is not suitable for permanent make-up?
If you are under 18.
If you are pregnant or trying to conceive.
If you are breastfeeding you will need to express enough for 2 feeds for after your treatment. (Anaesthetic will be applied during your treatment which is absorbed into your blood stream).
If you have a pacemaker you will not be suitable for ombre or powder brows, microblading may be possible.
If you have been on Roaccutane, Accutane or acne medications within the last year.
If you take Aspirin, Fish oil, Niacin, Vitamin E, Ibuprofen or Blood thinners please do not for 72 hours before your appointment (with supervision from your GP).
If you have any autoimmune diseases.
If you have Hepatitis or HIV.
If you suffer from excessive Keloid scars.
If you have any issues with wounds healing.
Can you make the lips bigger?
Lips can be made to appear bigger however I only work on the lip membrane as this gives a beautiful even appearance once healed (lips & skin heal differently).
By adding pigment to areas that are lacking in natural pigment this gives the illusion of fuller lips.
Does it hurt?
Everyone's tolerance is different, some feel more than others. That being said numbing agent is applied to make you as comfortable as possible.
Can I return to work the same day?
You may experience some swelling during & after the procedure, this usually settles within 12-24 hours. You may feel more comfortable returning to work the following day.
How will I eat & drink after?
You may feel slightly tender afterwards for approximately 24 hours-everyone is different). Of course you can eat & drink afterwards but avoid hot/spicy food & use the straws provided in your aftercare kit for drinking.
How long does it last?
Usually touch ups will be required every 1-3 years, however this does depend on your lifestyle, skin type & medications.
How long does the appointment take?
I like to allow 3.5 hours per appointment, perfection takes time & I do not rush this delicate procedure.
How many appointments do I need?
Usually 2 appointments are required however in some cases a 3rd session may be required & is an additional charge of $100.
Why do I need a touch up 6 weeks after the initial appointment?
Your touch up will ensure the longevity of your colour. It also eliminates the risk of your lips being over worked in the first session to reach the desired result. Your touch up appointment should be no longer than 3 months after your initial appointment. Your 6 week touch up appointment is included in your initial payment price.
If you require a 3rd session this is an additional $100 & must be performed within 12 weeks of your last session.
What about cold sore outbreaks?
If you have never had a cold sore you can still have an outbreak. I strongly advise taking an anti viral medication prior & post procedure to minimise your risk of an outbreak (you may still experience an outbreak).
This applies if you have herpes simplex also.
What can I expect afterwards?
-You may experience some swelling & tenderness for 24 hours.
-Lips will begin to flake on day 3 & are usually flake free by day 5/6.
-Keep lips moisturised before & after procedure with a good quality lip balm.
What are the pigments used?
I use Evenflo lip pigments, they are concentrated cosmetic pigments rather than body tattoo pigments. They are designed to naturally & softly enhance facial features whilst offering great true healed results. They are vegan, high quality pigments that fade naturally.
How is the pigment chosen?
Pigments will be selected based on your lip tone & Fitzpatrick scale. Colours are customised to each individual for a suitable match. Feel free to bring your lipstick to give me an understanding of the tone you are hoping for. Please be mindful that depending on your current lip tone this can affect your desired colour outcome.
Is there risk of allergic reaction or infection?
Risk of infection is minimal, the working area is sterilised pre & prior each appointment. I wear sterile gloves for the sterilisation procedure as well as during the procedure. All equipment is sterile and sealed in packaging which is disposed of after each use. I am certified in BloodBorne Pathogens, which is an additional course on sterilisation for cosmetic procedures. Aftercare is provided to reduce risk of infection after procedure.
Allergic reactions are extremely rare. Patch tests can be performed 48 hours upon your request.
Follow your aftercare thoroughly & do not touch the treatment area to avoid infection.
Can I bring my children, friends or family with me?
Unfortunately not. Appointment times are 3.5 hours and I need complete concentration.
Will I need to pay a non refundable booking fee?
